March 2024 – Meiyume Hong Kong is honoured to receive the Caring Company Award for 2023/2024, awarded by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). This marks our first recognition for our dedication to nurturing our people, the local communities, and the environment. Under our company’s ethos, ‘Sustainably Beautiful, Smartly Yours,’ and our mission to Empower Beauty for a Sustainable Future, we have infused a culture of sustainability into every facet of our operations. Our commitment extends to fostering a secure and inclusive environment for our employees while contributing positively to the community. 

Caring for the Employees 

We pledge to champion comprehensive employee wellness programs addressing physical, emotional, social, and financial well-being. Our family-oriented initiatives not only engage our employees but also their families, through a diverse array of activities such as fitness classes, mental health workshops, social gatherings, family excursions, and tax-saving seminars. 

Caring for the Community 

Our collaboration with various non-profit organizations has led us to actively support and participate in initiatives aimed at aiding the community’s most vulnerable. Meiyume’s involvement spans a wide range of activities, from volunteer work and blood donation to food drives, flag days, and charity events, demonstrating our deep commitment to community service. 

Caring for the Environment 

Embracing a 4R Strategy – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Replace – guides our environmental approach. We motivate our team to play a significant role in environmental conservation by fostering awareness and implementing eco-friendly practices.

Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS)

Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme (caringcompany.org.hk) aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship with the mission of building a cohesive society by promoting strategic partnerships among business and social service partners and inspiring corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment.  The award is presented each year to recognise organisations with outstanding involvement in corporate social responsibility programmes.
